enq: FS contention being reported on (ARCa) process
Arch process is consuming 50% CPU with FS enqueue all the time, we understand that it should be relevant to be below
This is what fs equeue mean:
- When performing a drop tablespace command
- When renaming a tablespace's datafile
- When adding, dropping, clearing, renaming a redo log
- When recreating datafiles in their original, empty state
- When dropping a temporary file
1) The redo files were resized however it was done on 3 production environments . The problem started on one of those systems on 11/11 after 3 days when the sysadmins migrated the datafiles to new SAN disk. The archive logs are writing to SATA drives on a separate mount.
