Enabling SNMP

 Hi, i'm trying to prepare the following scenario: 2x oracle 11gr2 running a database synchronized with DataGuard.

Now I need to forward any alarms from the plaforms to an external software (in this case OpenNMS). And I need to know what do I need to install to get this thing to work (on the Oracle side).

Like, if the primary database went down I would like Oracle DB (or Oracle Management Agent) to inform the NMS system with an SNMP Trap.

I've been reading on this issue, but still didn't manage to understand how is this supose to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
