Can we not open a discussion in a new window without opening the WHOLE community all over again???

 I asked this in another thread but got no response so I'll put it on it's own here.    

 

Is it due to Flash that one cannot open a particular thread without re-opening the entire community all over again? Example-  I'm in 'Using My Oracle Support'.  I go to a particular discussion and right click on it to open in a new tab in IE.  Instead, the entire community opens again.    Also, is there not a way to keep the number of discussions seen to a fixed number (10, 25, etc) once you set it?  I couldn't find a setting in my profile for this(
