iStore non-stock items

 Any comments ideas on the following questions would be highly appreciated:

(1) iStore seems to insist that a warehouse/subinventory combination exists for the item, even with the item set to non-stock??
(2) Does the inventory item for iStore need to be flagged stockable always??
