DG4ODBC usage

One of the biggest differences between DG4ODBC and its predecessor, HSODBC, is DG4ODBC can be installed as a standalone product.  This means that you can install DG4ODBC on one server (Windows, for example) and use it to connect to a 3rd party database from an Oracle Database on a different server (Linux, for example).

This is important because of the requirement to use a 3rd party ODBC driver for connectivity to the 3rd party database with DG4ODBC.  It might be easier and more cost effective to find a SQL Server driver on Windows than it is on Linux.

Howdy, Stranger!
