How to choose the best-fit Oracle - initialization parameter to an application.

We are developing a D2K product and soon will go to full fledge production with 500 users. Before releasing to the production, considering performance and other issue, we would like to set the database parameters which can best fit to our application.

Please advise how to proceed for doing this exercise.
