oracle 10g grid control console does not delete obsolete backups

 I have recently setup backups with the 10g grid control console and I have the retention policy set to 2 days. 

On the backup screen I choose the radio button to delete obsolete backups.

But today is the 25th and I still have backups out there from the 21st.  I am having to manually delete these old backups. 

Any ideas?
