OTL: Templates for semi montly timecards

Is there a way to use templates with semi montly timecards such that when the template is applied it will align hours on days of the week?  For example if I'm using last timecard as a template the last timecard began on Friday January 1 2010, but the next timecard begins on Monday January 18, 2010.  I want the filling in of the template to not put time on Saturdays and Sundays since we usually don't work those days and fill in time for Monday - Friday.
