Small spikes in CPU

edited Jan 26, 2010 10:49PM in Database Administration (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered
I see very small CPU spikes (20% usage) for every 15 mins on the database server. Looks like these are caused whenever Oracle intelligent (dbsnmp.exe) runs. That checks whether sufficient space is available on the system.

When I took stats report it shows the queries of dbsnmp.exe along with other queries runs against the DB. I also see "controlfile sequential read" wait event during the time when there is a spike.

This is the same setup which runs on all the other databases. But I could not find such spikes on the other. What might be causing this?

Howdy, Stranger!
