DB_NAME and DB_UNIQE_NAME

 Hi,

Can the DB_NAME and DB_UNIQE_NAME have different names on one DB server?

If yes, I do not need DB_FILE_NAME_ CONVERT and LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT when my primary DB and standby DB (two server boxes) have the same oracle base/path?

If yes, what is service name (db_name or db_uniqe_name) on a client’s tnsnames.ora in order to connect with the server?
