Does oe_order_pub.process_order API with Action Code - Split reprice the open lines?

 I'm using API oe_order_pub.process_order API with Action Code - Split to split lines in an order.  I'm having an issue with automatic price updates from the price list when I split.  Everything I have read on the user guides says that when using the Split Action code, the only attributes that are updated is the quantity and request date. 

Here's the issue I'm seeing and cannot explain:

Enter an order line with price list price and unit selling price of 15.  Split the original lines a couple of time.  Change the price list to 18.  Split the original line a couple more times.  The original line and any new split lines have the new price list price of 18.
