Listener Setup - Multiple DB's on a RAC Cluster

edited Feb 4, 2010 7:24AM in Database Networking (MOSC) 12 commentsAnswered
We are in the process of building a two node 11.1.0.6 RAC cluster on Oracle Enterprise Linux. This cluster will probably house 4-5 different databases. We would like to ensure that the listeners are setup so that users that can only access those they have been granted access to: user A can only access Database A cannot get to Database B (for example). I am trying to determine the best way to do that.

Will I need to create one listener per database in order to ensure this or can I set up one listener with proper routing instructions from port to SID? I was planning to run each on their own port. This type of setup is new to me. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Howdy, Stranger!
