database replay: additional online workload possible while replay runs captured transactions?

Hallo,

I hope for input from this forum.

We need to test wheter or not it's possible to give  additional jobs to our production system (11gR1). I intend to use database replay but I'm not sure it works or not.

My plan is to create a workload replay. While (re-)playiing it I want to start  the new jobs (little dml, lots of queries). Will this work? I can't find any description about database replay which mentions additional transactions to a replay.
