HFM Schema Upgrade Utility 9.3.1 compatibility

 Hi all,
Does anyone know how far back you can use the HFM Schema Upgrade Utility 9.3.1 - to what version. According to the installation guide: "You use this utility to upgrade previous System 9 Financial
Management applications, as well as applications prior to System 9" - but it does not mention if all applications prior to System 9 can be upgraded with this tool. I need to know if I can use it for version 4.0 and upgrade the schema to 9.3.1?
Any help on this is very appreciated!
