ask help for 11i installation

 I am going to learn EBS. So I am installing the EBS 11i on my personal computer. I install the VMware first and then install the Linux on the VMware. I've completed Linux installation. But When I install EBS, I hit two error validations. Hope someone here can help me. Thanks.

1. File space check.

I use the root authority to create the folder at root director. I've set the virtual disk to 180G on the VMware. When I check the properties of folder, I found it only have 481M. Why the folder so samll on the root director. How can I let the folder large to install EBS.  My linux kernel version is 2.6.9-22.EL.
