RMAN backup slowing

 Hi

We have a 3 Node 10.2.03 RAC clluster on RedHat Linux 4 (64-bit) The database size is around 240 GB.

We take a weekly full backup (to disk) and the time taken has bee increasing . It now takes about 12 hours to complete the backup

I realize that there are quite a few factors involved (SGA, the storage where the RMAN backup is going to , etc. ) but I would like to know about some kind of a checklist that I can go through and would also be intereseed in knowing about oters's experiences

One thing also .. from the AWR report for that period (there is no other activity on the database duing that time ) the top time model statistic is
