Using Marvell NIC for Public Interface and RAC VIP does not failover

Dear all,
My enviroment is:

OS:RHEL4.8 x86_64
Oracle Clusterware:10.2.0.3
Oracle RAC DB:10.2.0.3

I have two node in a RAC cluster. Public interface is eth0 which is a Marvell chip based NIC. When i type mii-tool eth0, i got this message " SIOCGMIIPHY on 'eth0' failed: Bad address". Is that means mii-tool do not support the NIC ?

Is there any Hardware Support List for Oracle RAC ?

My NIC Chip is Marvell type, and i doubt the NIC is not supported with Oracle RAC.

When i issue the command " ifdown eth0 " , seems RAC is not aware that eth0 is down so the VIP failover does not initiate.

Howdy, Stranger!
