Security Patches for Oracle Enterprise Linux Servers

We are running Oracle Enterprise Linux server with Red Hat EL 5.3. I'm looking for a way to install critical and security patches for the OSs on these servers? Does this require a subscription or is it free? Can anyone point me to a good tutorial on setting this up?
