Patching Physical Standby server

Hi,

We have three servers that require Security patching to our Oracle Database EE Version 10.2.0.3.0 for Windows x64 - (Patch 8288854 (patch 31) )

We have three servers: (development, production and Physical standby servers).

Please let me know the best practice for how I should proceed with Patch implementation on physical standby server.  Assume that development server would l take place first.

The question is that with the Physical standby and the existing link with the production server . How do I go about with the patching plan so that both servers are patched.
