scheduling a backp via EM

Hello,

I apologize if this shows up twice, but I can't find my first submission.

anyway,

when I try to schedule a customized  backup via EM, after I enter the host credentials

(username oracle), and click 'schedule customized backup', I get this error:

Connection to host as user oracle failed: ERROR: NMO not setuid-root (Unix-only).

I know I have the right password for oracle, because I am able to log on the the server via putty as oracle. 

I've stopped and restarted the console, and I've rebuilt the em repository.  I still can't get past this error.

any suggestions?
