Considering to migrate from Shared Server RDBMS architecture to Dedicated Server RDBMS architecture
Hello Guys,
We're in the process of planing migration Oracle RDBMS on AIX 5L infrastructure to 11g.
With this migration we're considering to switch to dedicated server architecture from shared server.
The questions and dilemmas appeared are:
1. Calculation of new SGA memory needs?
2. Setting new values of SGA parameters that are influenced with this switch?
3. Maintaining the process of SGA parameters and reosources during scaling of number of users/sessions on the RDBMS?
3.1 sessions that are connected through database link connection in distributued transaction
3.1.1 initiated from the remote database ?
3.1.2 initiated from the database that is target of migration
3.2 Users/sessions that are connected directly?
