SNMP traps

 I have created notification methods and notification rules to get SNMP traps and when I am pressing 'Test Connection' button I am getting traps on the NMS server
but it is not sending the traps for which I have configured ie when instance,listener or
any service is down. Do I have to do anything more to get the traps??
