Installing IAVA recommendations

 I am a novice so bear with me. I recently upgraded from 10.1.0.3 to 10.1.0.5 with little or no incident to load the latest Oracle patch. Reading the notice from Oracle and the Gov,  I am instructed to install the latest security patch. I am given two options, the first under the heading 'Oracle Databse 10.1.0.5 is "Oracle Database Home(oracle Universal Installer) patch 6640838 and the second is Oracle databasae Home CPU Patch 9119261.

  The question is do I need to install both of these patches or do both of them accomplish the same update?
