maxpin setting in AIX

Does the max sga 60% apply to all AIX servers or is the a different/better calculation for larger memory servers? For a server with 64GB RAM, this would mean that the max_sga would be 38.4GB.  The OS, oracle processes and PGA use approximately 2.5GB, leaving 23GB of RAM unused.
