Required Patchsets Oracle database SE

Hi,

 What is the next patchset below products:

1) Release 10.1.0.5 Microsoft windows (32 bit)

2) Release 9.2.0.8  Mircosoft Windows (32 bit)

I have been advised that an extended support purchase is required. My question is if I have already reached the maximum in terms of the patchset, what advatange will I have if I purchase the extended support.
