How are payment batch sets upgraded from 11.5.9 to R12

hi all what is the replacement for the Payment Batch Set functionality in R12?
Can you generate multiple payment batches (electronic payment files) from submitting 1 payment request - payment file created per bank/currency, including payments for the appropriate ap invoices?
