Accessing parts of Customers Online functionality from another responsibility

In R11i (11.5.10.,2), I am trying to access Customers Online functionality from a custom responsibility by assigning IMC_NG_ROOT_MENU structure.  Objective is to limit the access to only certainly functionlaity by excluding sub menus at the time responsibility level.

However, I am getting following error while accessing Customers Online functionality from custom responsibility -- "The IMC_NG_HOME_FUNC function is not available under the <<NAME OF CUSTOM RESPONSIBILITY>> responsibility. 

Any suggestions in overcoming this issue?
