Advanced Productivity Component Applet is flaky

Hello,

We are in Agile 9.2.2.4 PC and lot of our users use Advanced Producitivity Component (.i.e .  file load preference on the users profile is 'advanced' )for file operations. And they prefer this over the standard option. But even with the right JRE 1.5.0_11 we have issues often, the applet hangs or the file doesnot upload at all.

We sometimes get it to work by clearing  the Java cache and delete the temperory files from browser but even this trick does not work at times. Are there any tips to address these situation. We dont want to give up on Advanced file load yet.
