Installing in a Solaris zone?

 I am trying to install Oracle 11.2.0 in a zone on a Solaris system (Solaris 10 8/07 s10s_u4wos_12b SPARC) - but the installer can't find any information when it checks the system, they all come back as failed because the information is "n/a". Is this something that should work, or is it generally considered as an unhealthy option?
