Best practice for datafile size on Windows and SAN
Some rumour say that 32bit windows has performance problem when handling datafiles > 4gb.
My system has blocksize 8k implying a maximum file size of 32gb. Storage is on SAN.
Database is 10g.
In the case of both SAN & physical disks are there any guidelines that you would suggest for datafile size?
Can you also suggest any best practice specific for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows?
Thank you!
