Function of "ReplacedBy" field in Create Absence Page (Employee Self Service)
I was wondering if anyone knew if there is any specific functionality behind the "ReplacedBy" field in Employee Self-Service. It is also available in the Absence form in UK HRMS Manager (labelled "Replaced by" here).
I've searched My Oracle Support, the user and implementation guides and the on-line help files but other than guidance that this field is to record the worker who replaces the employee during a particular absence I can find no mention of any other functionality. I'm assuming this is an information only field that might be used for reporting. I'm not aware of any functionality that links absences with Worklist Access or workflow Vacation Rules, so I doubt it's anything to do with this. The only other use I can think of would perhaps to have some custom workflow or AME
