1099 Electronic Filing Tips!

Here are a few tips for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 1099 MISC, DIV or INT Electronic Filing:

  • Be sure to take the 1099 ESU to get the IRS changes that include updates to the Electronic IRSTAX text file for 2009.
  • Be sure to delete your old IRSTAX.txt file in the Export folder prior to running the Write Media. If this is not deleted, the new data will be added to the 2008 information and most likely will cause a rejection notice from the IRS.
  • Be sure to include a contact name and phone on the IRSTAX.txt file as well. 
  • If filing Combined Federal/State be sure to verify the UDC table 04/ST has ONLY the participating states (see publication 1220 for participating states) - any others and/or blank value can cause text file issues.
