11gR2 and ASM Issue

 Hi everyone:

I know this answer all ready before I even ask but my boss wants me to check it out anyway do to this post he recieved.

So, the summary is, Oracle 11g RAC does not work with Oracle ASM, and never will.

I know that Oracle on 10.2.0.4 had the same issue with patch 28,29,30,and 31 on Windows and the issue also occurred with Linux. After applying patch 31 on my RAC (WINDOWS) it would not allow ASM to start so I rolled back. Oracle's solution was to apply the Feb 2010 Patch 32 which should resolve this issue. So since they resolved this issue for 10g why would they then not resolve it for the 11Gr2 Release for Windows which itself hasn't been released yet. My answer is they wouldn't.  What are your thoughts on this?
