oracle password file

 Hi,

I create one production database name Proddb and created password file with welcome as password and after 2 month my junior dba has change password of sys user by summiting simple command 

alter user sys identified by welcome123;

Now my question :

Do i need to Re-create new password file  with new password or it Automatically resync the new password with existing password file...

Could please answer this question as it is urgent one...
