Shrinking 7 TB tablespace to 1 TB in 3 hours - how?
Hi,
I have a 8 TB database, mostly one 7 TB tablespace (lots of 32 GB datafiles) which contains LOBs. 90% of LOBs are to be deleted from database and we will then want to reduce size of empty-ish datafiles. The client wants to do this in a 3 hour downtime window, if at all possible. At any rate, minimising downtime is a priority. Any ideas beyond export/import?
Database is 10.1.0.5 EE on Solaris 10. No ASM, no RAC, no standby.
Thanks.
