Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC)

 Recently installed 10.2.0.1 upgraded to 10.2.0.4 on Red hat 4.8 x86. Attempted to load patch 9119284_10204 and opatch failed. "Patch id is null". "Opatch failed with error code 73". 

Ran opatch prereq CheckConflictAgainstOHWithDetail -phBaseDir  /Patches/10.2.0.4.3/

Error "Unable to create Patch Object"

Exception Occurred: Patch ID is null.

I swear I follwed the README to a note.

BTW. Opatch version is 10.2.0.0.0
