How to create check format with fixed position using XML Publisher

We need to create the check format using XML publisher. When we created the check layout, the position of the check is moving depends on the invoice data. I would like know if there is any way to fix the position of the check on the page irrespective of the invoice data (Number of invoices).

Please provide me the relevant information/documents if any one of you have used XML  publisher to format the checks from payables module.
