Incorrect item attribute caused backorder line on Sales Order

 This should be a quick fix but I don't want to make things worse:  We have an order that won't system ship because one of 3 lines is on backorder for insufficient quantity. Further investigation reveals MRP is set to Not Planned.  What action must be taken to fix THIS order. Then I can change the attribute later.  There are no open jobs or anything else for this item.
