Looking for smallest test to check recovery_destination while running Rman command

I am new to RMAN and try make sure how much space and setup I need to use for using RMAN for our backups & recovery.
I have db_recovery_file_dest   ponits to  /u02/flash_recovery_area
and CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO '/winshare/orabackup/%F'

I like to test Rman to check my file are going to /winshare/orabackup directory.

At minimum, what command can I use?
