Single thread in 2 communities

I came across an odd situation today.
I started a reply to 2708783 when it was in the Database Administration community. Whilst I was composing the reply (getting links etc) the thread was moved to the Database Install Microsoft community.
When I posted, my reply (posted March 1, 2010 10:18 PM - in GMT) showed up in the Database Administration community posts, but the rest of the thread had moved.

I'd spotted a couple of split threads before, but didn't have the background information to understand why they were split.
