Implementing Fixed Assets in France

I have a question for anybody who has implemented Oracle FA in France.

1. Is a daily prorate method a requirement by French GAAP (or its equivalent)?

2. Has anyone created, from scratch, tax depreciation methods with the co-efficients and straigh-line switch, that I could use as a model to reproduce?
