ASM cannot be started on a node

Hi,

I'm going through the steps to build a RAC environment on two nodes (rac1 and rac2). The problem I have is that ASM instance fails to start on the second node.
Any helping tip is appreciated.

OS: Windows 2003 SP2
Oracle Software: Oracle Database 10g R2
Patch applied: Patchset 3 (10.2.0.4)


C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\crs\BIN>hostname
rac2
 
C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\crs\BIN>srvctl start asm -n rac2
PRKS-1009 : Failed to start ASM instance "+ASM2" on node "rac2", [PRKS-1009 : Failed to start ASM instance "+ASM2" on node "rac2", [CRS-0215: Could not start resource 'ora.rac2.ASM2.asm'.]]
