Program Management reporting -does this show properly

 We have requirement for rolling up child projects which have both Event/Event distribution rules and Work/Work distribution rules into a Program. What distribution rule should be enabled for Program project and will this in any way affect the program reporting as dome are Work/work and some are event/event.

Any recommendation and suggestion would help
