Oracle Runs Out of Memory

Hi, We are running Oracle 11g, windows 2003 server sp2. We are using automatic memory management with memory_target = 824M and memory_max_target = 1400M. Oracle, according to windows task manager / processes tab is maxing out over the 2GB limit for windows 32bit.  Why could this be happening ?
