Clusterware with mixed 32 and 64 bit servers - is it possible?
Hi,
My situation is this: I have Oracle 11.1.0.6 64-bit installed on a Win 2003 x64 platform, however, this server is not only used for Oracle. I also have another server that can only handle 32 bit Windows but this server will be dedicated to Oracle.
My final goal is to use Clusterware to create an Active/Passive fail over solution and now I am wondering if I can do that with mixed 32 and 64 bit Oracle servers or if I have to have two servers of the same 'flavor'?
For those more graphically inclined here is an 'image' of what I have:
