R12 Customer tax Exemptions not working

 Hi Friends,
We or on 12.1.1 we want to use the tax conditions form vertex , but get the customer Exemptions form oracle customer site party tax profile. I done the setup for tax exemption on the customer part tax profile but, tax is still calculated for the customer. please suggest.
