Unbreakable Linux Updates

 I just registered an Oracle Enterprise Linux server in ULN and set up a yum repository. Most of our servers are Oracle Red Hat 5.3 servers, but we do have some 5.1 and 5.2 servers. Does anyone know if I deploy patches to these servers, will they upgrade to 5.3? or do they maintain their same version?
