Percent Complete Revenue - can the calculation be changed?

 Percent complete revenue was implemented based on actual cost/budgeted cost * budgeted revenue.  The company has now been bought out, and their method of revenue is based on units of completion.  The budgets are needed for cost analysts to do their job .. is there any way to either turn off the percent complete revenue calculation so we can just upload manual events for revenue?  currently, when we have a revenue to recognize, for the budgeted cost to equal actual cost and the total revenue to be equal to the revenue already calculated plus the new amount.  Then have to
