MOS search tips?

Hello.
I have yet to figure out how to get solid results from MOS via searches. I know there are docs about it and have read them, but they didn't help...

For instance, if I search for "9i log_buffer", the first thing it returns is

Enterprise PeopleTools 8.21 Installation Guides (Doc ID 704717.1)

Which has nothing to do with 9i, log_buffer, or even Oracle for that matter as it's for SqlServer installation. And, out of 28 results, it strikes me that only 1/3 have Anything to do with 9i or log_buffer. So I am truly baffled of what logic it is using. If it just went off of '9i', it should have a lot of hits.. just off of 'log_buffer', i would think it would too. And if it just looked for docs that contain 9 or i, again, there would be more than 28. (Not to mention that there undoubtedly are many other docs that have 9i log_buffer info that weren't returned with said search). Additionally, I have my knowledge preferences set to 'oracle products' So I have no idea why it's returning PeopleSoft info...
