IMP giving error lile -----=IMP-00010: not a valid export file, header failed verification

Im importing data from 10g(10.2.0.3.0)(HP-UX OS) to 9i(9.2.0.5.0)(Solaris)
and getting error

IMP-00010: not a valid export file, header failed verification
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully

Is there any workaround to do the import for cross OS?
